County Visits

Visits to individual counties give them an excellent opportunity to meet the people of Norway where they live and work and to gain insight into contemporary life in different parts of the country.

Generally, two counties are visited each year, one by the King and Queen and one by the Crown Prince and Crown Princess. Each journey normally lasts 2-3 days, during which time visits are paid to 4-6 municipalities.
