The Princess was christened in the Palace Chapel by Bishop Gunnar Stålsett on 17 April 2004.
Godparents
The Princess’s godparents are His Majesty The King, His Royal Highness Crown Prince Fredrik of Denmark, Her Royal Highness Crown Princess Victoria of Sweden, His Royal Highness Prince Felipe of Asturias, Her Highness Princess Märtha Louise, and Ms Marit Tjessem, the mother of the Crown Princess.
School
The Princess began attending day-care centre in Asker on 4 January 2006, and on 19 August 2010 she began attending Jansløkka elementary school.
Official engagements
The Princess has already carried out several official engagements. She normally joins other members of the Royal Family on the balcony of the Palace to greet the annual children’s parade on 17 May, Norwegian Constitution Day. She has also attended the traditional ski jumping tournament at Holmenkollen in Oslo.
In June 2009 the Princess and the Crown Princess greeted children representing Eco-agents, the Norwegian environmental organisation for children, on the Palace Square in honour of World Environment Day.
