I am saddened by the news about the terrible forest fires that have struck the Attica region of your country, causing the loss of so many lives and people missing, many injuries and so much destruction.
On behalf of myself and the Norwegian people, I am sending you my condolences and deepest sympathy in this trying time for your people and country, and ask you to convey my condolences and sympathy to those bereaved, the injured and to those otherwise affected by this terrible disaster.

Hans Kongelige Høyhet Kronprins Haakon besøkte al-Noor Islamic Center i dag. - Alle i det norske samfunnet skal føle trygghet, sa Kronprinsen. - I nærmiljøet, men selvfølgelig også i utøvelsen av religionen sin.
Kongens egen serieseilas
Hans Majestet Kong Harald er til stede under "H.M. Kongens serieseilaser" som holdes i Oslofjorden mellom 20. og 22. august. Kong Haakon VII tok initiativ til regattaen allerede i 1919.
