I was deeply saddened to learn of the flooding that caused such widespread destruction and claimed so many lives, including many children, in Texas on the 4th of July.
On behalf of myself and the people of Norway, I would like to express my sincere condolences to you and the people of the United States of America and ask you to convey my deepest sympathy to the bereaved families and others afflicted by this terrible natural disaster.
